Hackettstown Band
The Hackettstown Community Band has been a continuously organized community band since 1947, and comprises two overlapping groups: concert and parade. It is made up of a full range of woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments, and plays a wide variety of music: marches, overatures, show tunes, popular music, jazz. The membership ranges from talented junior high students to seasoned professional musicians and music educators. The membership is open, with no auditions and no fees. Members provide their own instruments. The band reherses every Thursday from 7:30-9:30 pm at the Hackettstown Community Center on Main Street in Hackettstown.
